Shed blaze in Reginald Road

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a garden at the rear of Reginald Road, Bexhill, at around 6am on Sunday after a timber shed and fencing erupted in flames.

They quickly doused the blaze, which is thought to have been caused by a kiln inside the shed overheating after accidentally being left switched on.

Police attended but later confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances. The fire created a pall of smoke over the Beeching Park industrial estate that could be seen from some distance.
