Shining students celebrate their GCSE results in Westergate

DELIGHTED students in Westergate are celebrating an impressive crop of GCSE results.

Pupils at Westergate Community School have continued their upwards trend of improving GCSE results.

Shinning stars included Megan Chambers with seven A*s and three As, Kate Ratcliffe was awarded seven A*s and four As.

Another high-flyer was Amber Tout with six A*s and five As, Nancy Simpson gained five A*s and six As and Millie Bicknelle received five A*s and four As.

Headteacher Steve Nelmes said: “The governors and staff would like to congratulate the class of 2013.

“The hard work they put in with their teachers has resulted in good results across the board.

“All the students who attended the school through Year 11 have achieved good results, particularly in maths, science, modern foreign languages and music.”
