Shoreham Beach: Stranded boat latest

HIGH and dry sailor Dean Fuller has appealed for help after failing to move his beached boat.

The 28ft boat, named Lenka, has now been stranded on Shoreham Beach for three weeks.

Dean was sailing off the Shoreham coast when the engine cut out and winds blew the 1930s pleasure boat high up the shingle, earlier this month.

He told the Herald he had received a letter from Adur District Council ordering him to move the boat '“ or face the consequences.

Dean said: "The council has sent me a letter saying if it is not moved by Monday, they will do it, and charge me for the privilege.

"If they move it, I have to find somewhere to put it. It is a big thing. It weighs six or seven tonnes."
