Shoreham Herald website success

Figures released this week show our commitment to bring you breaking news online, as it happens, has paid off.

Visitors to the Shoreham Herald website hit 118,000 in December.

Visitors to www.shorehamtoday.co.uk last month were almost double the number in January last year. On top of this, thousands of visitors each month are logging onto the site for the first time.

The same was true for the Shoreham Herald's sister websites, for the Worthing Herald and Littlehampton Gazette.

Last month, people logged on to www.worthingtoday.co.uk 148,000 times '“ almost double the number of visitors to the site in January, 2006. The Little-hampton Gazette's online presence at www.littlehamptontoday.co.uk, was also reinforced.

In January last year, some 50,000 clicks to the site were made, compared to more than 131,000 this year.

Figures for unique users '“ people logging on for the first time '“ hit 20,000 across the three sites last month.
