Shoreham lifeboat joins dramatic sea rescue in Brighton

Shoreham’s lifeboat scrambled to Brighton seafront yesterday afternoon (June 28) to rescue a swimmer in difficulty.

Shoreham RNLI confirmed in a tweet that the swimmer became unsafe in rough seas near Black Rock in Brighton. After several attempts to rescue him by what an eyewitness said was up to eight people, the man was eventually grabbed by beach lifeguards and passed on to the ambulance service.
