Shoreham man unconscious in Brighton attack

A SHOREHAM man was left unconscious after he was attacked and robbed in Brighton today (Friday, January 8).

Police were called to Churchill Square, Brighton, at 3.45am, where the man had been found with head and facial injuries.

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment and was later released.

He was unable to explain what had happened to him but officers believe his missing property was stolen.

A police spokesman said: “Two men believed to have been involved were seen running off down Cranbourne Street. Local enquiries led officers to a city hotel where two men, both aged 23, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

“A 22-year-old woman who was also present was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police.

“All three are currently in police custody, pending further enquiries.”
