Shoreham teen in Miss Galaxy pageant

A TEEN Pageant Queen will be representing Shoreham-by-Sea at a prestigous international competition next month.

Ella Collins-Godden, 15, will be fundraising for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe.

Ella, from Williams Road, Shoreham, has won a number of teen pageants including international acclaim from PageantLive, a U.S. based YouTube channel.

She will be raffling a number of her victory crowns as part of the fundraising, and has so far raised nearly £100.

Now she will be part of the Teen Miss Galaxy pageant, in which the winner will recieve a trip to Florida for the international finals.

She said: “It was always my dream to be a part of the pageant, but I was too nervous. When I applied, they told me I was through to the final and I was so excited. I’ve already met some of the other girls over Facebook and are really lovely.

“When I was at school I was bullied for a while which gave me a lot of depression and anxiety, but these experiences have really helped me to

overcome that.”

The Trust is based in Manchester but treats more than 44’000 patients a year across the UK.

It has one of the world’s largest Radiotherapy departments and the UK’s biggest Chemotherapy unit.
