Members exhibited an impressive array of flowers, fruit, vegetables and handicrafts at the New Hall last Saturday.

Alice Kenyon, from the Society, said: “Visitors enjoyed cups of tea the garden inspired raffle. The committee worked very hard to make it a fun afternoon and the judges must have had some very hard decisions to make.

The Cleveland Challenge Bowl for vegetables and fruit was one by Richard Suter, who also lifted The David and Margaret Bowen memorial cup for the exhibitor gaining the most points in the show.

The Society’s Challenge Cup for flowers went to Howard Norton while John Dunk won the Veness Award for Dahlias.

Alice Kenyon won both the Society’s cup for the best exhibit in show and the Challenge Cup for Floral Art. The Armoury challenge cup for handicrafts went to Helen Redmond while Alexander Redmond won the Winchelsea Cup for children’s classes.
