STEVE Knightley (pictured) is in concert with special guests Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin at Hailsham Pavilion on Saturday February 4 at 7.30pm.

As a warm up for what will undoubtedly be another sell out Show of Hands concert at the Royal Albert Hall in April, frontman Steve Knightley stops off en-route for a special solo performance in Hailsham.

Regarded as one of our finest singer-songwriters he is renowned for his strong, trademark narrative songs which reflect the escapades, hopes and fears not only of people in his native West Country but beyond, and he pulls no punches when writing highly literate songs about bigger, global issues.

Sharing the stage with Steve are Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin who bring a fresh new sound to folk music.

Both are extremely talented musicians, Phillip masters the dobro, lap steel, slide guitar and harmonica, and his style of playing is perhaps unlike anything you may have heard, for whilst enshrined in the delta blues it also has a rootsy and eastern sound.

Hannah, an accomplished songwriter, plays banjo, fiddle, accordion and has a beautiful voice that can work ballads as well as the high lonesome sound of the Appalachians.

Seats £19.50 from 01323 841414.
