A six week free energy skills training course in Newhaven starts on Monday (March 2).
The Household Energy Efficiency Course will enable people to become a local energy champion.
The course will run every Monday from 9.30am until 1pm and will be based at The Hub with the Sussex Community Development Association.
The course is designed to enable participants to build skills and confidence for voluntary work, apprenticeships and potential employment.
A spokeswoman for the course said: “Today energy is vital to our modern life – both at home and in the work place energy efficiency is important to keeping costs down and saving money.
“For a City and Guilds qualification Level 1 Award - Introduction to Household Energy
Efficiency, a course handbook and practical knowledge on ways to save energy and
save money, sign up by today (Friday February 27).”
The training course is funded by the European Social Fund with support from the Skills Funding Agency, Surrey Community Action, OVESCO, Community Energy South and Sussex Community Development Agency.
