An Eastbourne businesswoman has been named a finalist in the UK’s leading women in technology awards.
Sinead Brophy, 50, is the founder and CEO of MY Support Broker, a community interest company launched in 2010. The company works nationally to bring together people with expertise and knowledge of support and care for those with long term illnesses, disability and mental health.
It now works with 17 NHS bodies and councils, as well as being quoted in the Department of Health strategy papers, making it an important company when it comes to health and social care.
She personally mentored eight newly-formed peer-led social businesses and founded the MSB Enterprise Hub to support people with long term conditions to become sustainable entrepreneurs.
Now, Sinead has been named a finalist in the Innovator category of the The 2015 FDM Everywoman in Technology Awards .
Judged by a panel of senior technology leaders, the criteria assessed their career success, potential for future achievements and support for women in the industry.
The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony on the evening of March 17 in London.
