But the singer’s brother Danny, who manages the New York Coffee Club, says opening a branch in the town could be ‘a possibility’ in the future.

Peter Andre was spotted in Battle town centre a few weeks ago.

Rumours were soon flying that the Australian-born star, who lives in Sussex, was in town to look at the former Blacksmiths Restaurant building in the High Street with a view to opening a new branch of the New York Coffee Club.

But this week Danny Andre scotched those rumours.

He told the Observer: “Unfortunately, we are not looking to open in Battle at this present time.

“It maybe a possibility in the future.”

The Andre brothers launched the first New York Coffee Club in East Grinstead in 2011.

This followed with a branch in Brighton the following year.
