Six fire engines tackle blaze in Hove high rise flats
Firefighters tackled a blaze in a high rise block of flats in Hove last night (October 23).
According to East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, six crews were called to Goldstone House in Clarendon Road, Hove, at 10.26pm last night to reports of a fire in a first floor flat. Crews using an aerial platform battled the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a washing machine, into the early hours of the morning. No injuries were reported and everybody was safely removed from the building, before firefighters left the scene at 1am.
