Six little balls of fluff!

THE moment for which enthusiastic park-watchers have been waiting came on Tuesday when proud Mother and Father Swan revealed their brood for the first time.

Pen and Cob have been taking it in turns to sit on their clutch of eggs on the nest they had built on the boating lake island.

Protected by the reinstatement of the wire mesh fence which East Sussex Wildlife Rescue first erected last year, the pair have now brought Nature's process to complete.

Father swan has since spent his time angrily chasing off inquisitive ducks. Meanwhile, Mother is content to display six little balls of fluff which will be the next generation of white elegance.
