Six year old hurt in Fairlight crash

A SIX year old boy was hurt in a car crash at Battery Hill, Fairlight last Friday.

The accident happened just after 8am when an east bound silver Ford Ka was in collision with a Ford Fiesta driving in the opposite direction.

The six year old, from Fairlight, was a passenger in the Ka.

He was treated at the Conquest Hospital for a broken nose and facial bruises, but was later discharged.

A 17-year old girl, also from Fairlight, in the same car was treated at the same hospital for facial cuts and bruises, and the 37-year old woman driving the Ka, also from Fairlight, was treated for a slight neck injury. The 21-year old man driving the Fiesta was unhurt.

PC Barry Freeman of the Sussex Road Policing Unit said; “We would like anyone who saw the crash to contact us via 101 quoting Serial 0240 of 24/2.”
