Slideshow: Farlington’s Victorian Day

IT WAS Victorian Day for Year 6 pupils at Farlington School, Broadbridge Heath today (Friday March 2).

The girls and their teachers came into school in Victorian costume and their teachers recreated a school day as it would have been in those times.

The girls used slates and chalk, sat in rows, didn’t speak unless were spoken to, and did such things as created samplers.

They even had a break where they played some of the old-fashioned playground games with skipping ropes and hoops and chants.
