Slindon pupils get to show off their creative work

DESIGN students at Slindon College had the chance to showcase their work to an MP.

The pupils were able to show Nick Herbert, the MP for Arundel and South Downs, their skills when he visited the independent school.

This gave him the chance to meet some of the pupils in their lessons as well as talk to the headteacher and his teachers.

Head Ian Graham said: “It was a pleasure to have Nick Herbert visit Slindon College. I hope he enjoyed the school tour and was impressed by the pupils he met and the work they were doing.”

Mr Herbert said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit Slindon College and see at first hand what they do for children who require additional support in their education.”

Slindon College is a day and boarding school which provides specialist learning support for boys aged 8-16.

There are about 100 pupils. A teacher to pupil ratio of 1:5 ensures individual attention.
