Snow falls across Rye and Battle
SCORES of youngsters across Battle and Rye got an extra day off today (Wednesday) after several inches of snow fell overnight.
People abandoned their cars and trundled to work by foot in the morning as the icy conditions took hold.
Train services up to London were also disrupted.
The Arctic weather is expected to last a few more days.
