Society call forreturn of bench
A bench in Rye churchyard which was removed in spring for the filming of Mapp and Lucia has still not been returned by Rother District Council says Rye Conservation Society.
Chairman John Griffiths said: “They say they have tried to put it back but found there was unforgiving traffic congestion in Rye.”
