Something for everyone at village open gardens event

Hurstpierpoint Open Gardens will be held from 1.00pm to 5.30pm on Sunday June 12 this year and will span the area from Randiddles Close to the church end of Cuckfield Road.

Once again, all the proceeds will go to our local hospice, St. Peter and St. James. There is a wide variety of gardens and something to please everyone - whether it’s to admire the veg, smell the flowers or simply sit and enjoy the view. As with previous years, some gardens will be offering refreshments and locally grown plants and home-baked cakes will also be for sale.

There will be a hop-on, hop-off shuttle bus running throughout the afternoon. Parking is available free in the Trinity Road car park and Brown Twins car park.

This year’s Open Gardens will form part of the village’s celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday so will be extra special with lots going on.

Entry fee, to include all gardens, is just £5.00 (pay at first garden you visit); children under 14 are free. Regular updates, including a list of gardens nearer the time, will be available in local press and on www.hurstpierpointopengardens.org.uk
