Southdown Junior School summer fair in Newhaven raises £750

THE ANNUAL summer fair at Southdown Junior School in Newhaven attracted record numbers on Friday July 1.

A travelling farm, football tournament and talent show were just some of the attractions at the event in Church Hill which helped to pull in the crowds.

There was also face painting and sand art to entertain younger visitors.

But everyone could enjoy delicious cakes and a barbecue.

In total the summer fair, which is one of the school’s biggest fundraisers, generated an amazing £750.

It was organised by the Supporters of Southdown Junior School (SOS) which aims to raise funds to help the school. Pupils also ran stalls at the event to generate cash for their school.
