Special Awards Assembly at Pebsham school

PEBSHAM school held a special Awards Assembly to celebrate the achievements of some of it's most talented, dedicated and hard-working pupils.

For helping in the community, Year 6 pupil Adam was presented with the King Cup from Reverend David King, who is now based at St Andrews church in Eastbourne.

Richard Stiles presented Year 6 pupil, Sam, with The Stiles Music Shield for his excellent singing and for promoting boys singing in the school.

Judith Stiles awarded the Stiles Sports Cup to another Year 6 pupil, Oli, for representing the school in football and for his passion for sports.

Past Pebsham Head Teacher, Bob Platt, awarded two cups for Creative Writing, one to Josephine in KS1 and the other to Atalie in KS2.

Chair of Governors, Jeremy Betts, presented his shield for the first time to Harry in Year 3 for best overall improvement in this school year.

Many other pupils also received awards from their teachers and attendance certificates for 100%, 99% and 98%, which were presented by Headteacher Pat Strickson and Assistant Headteacher Fran Nayler.

Commenting on the event, Mrs Strickson said: "It was an excellent ceremony."
