Sergeant Phil Duffy of Sussex Police Road Policing Unit said: “Speed is one of the biggest factors in accidents on our roads. Throughout the week officers will be stopping speeding drivers to enforce the law.

“But, it’s not just about enforcement. We will also be talking to drivers to educate who speed about the serious consequences of their actions. Driving too fast for the road or the weather conditions is extremely dangerous and is a major contributory factor to many collisions. Speeding could also end up in you seriously injuring or even killing yourself or others.”
