The 15 mile challenge began at Eastbourne Pier. Walkers continued to Hastings Pier via Sovereign Harbour, Pevensey Bay, Beachlands, Normans Bay, Cooden Beach, Bexhill on Sea, Glyne Gap, Bulverhythe Beach and St Leonards on Sea.

Finding Futures offers free, friendly and accessible training to help adult learners change their life and create skills for their future. Sarah Blessington, Tutor/Trainer at BHT’s Finding Futures says support is available to help learners improve their English, Maths, ICT skills, employability skills, life skills and self-confidence, adding: “All money raised will go towards engagement activities for our learners, many who have never had a chance to get out of their locality and experience new places. We would like to arrange trips to include outdoor pursuits, interaction with animals and visits to places of interest.”

Following the sponsored walk Sarah says there were lots of blisters, aching muscles and sun burn but everyone went home with a smile and sense of achievement. “We are so proud of both staff and clients who took part, and thankful for their support.”
