Spring flower show in Bishopstone is a blooming success

A SPRING flower show in Bishopstone raised about £300 for St Andrew’s Church, Bishopstone Parish Hall and the Willett Trust.

It was staged at the parish hall which was awash with daffodils and flower arrangements on Saturday March 26.

Organisers are donating 30 knitted items for the premature baby units which formed part of the craft category.

And the winners were: Manor Farm Cup for flowers, Terri Simmons; Manor Farm Cup for Cookery and Preserves, Judy Hibberd; the Salver Cup for Handicrafts, Maureen Collins and the Pople Cup for Flower Arranging, Christine Barber.

The Egg Cup, Brian Paterson and Ruth Whitelaw; the Cup for Wine, Beer and Squash, H Bigmore and Di Moreton, the Salver Cup for Photography, Mary Glynn-Jones; the Manor Farm Rose Bowl for Best in Show, Sally Eyton-Lloyd and the Juniors Cup, Kendra Whitelaw.
