Square spring fayre

SOUTHWICK Square and Green was alive with the sounds of busy shoppers, farm animals and the Wild West on Saturday at its spring fayre.

The fayre was organised by Adur town centres co-ordinator David Steadman, with the support of Southwick Square traders.

Mr Steadman said: "It was a massive success. Many people enjoyed themselves during the day. The traders reported increased business and everybody had a good time."

He added they were thinking about making it an annual event.

The Fab Twins and Brillo the Clown were in the Square all day, providing children's entertainment.

There was also music frim Brighton Brass and Evolution Dance and a veteran open-top bus was on display, courtesy of Southdown Historic Vehicles.

A children's farm was held on the Green and there was also a Wild West show, a marquee and fairground rides.
