A St Leonards man has been charged with drugs and driving offences after an alleged police chase this week.

Aaron Easton, 22, of Beecham Place, appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Tuesday (November 28) charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis, dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance. He will appear again at Lewes Crown Court on December 19.

Police say Easton was arrested on Monday (Novemebr 27) after he drove away from officers who ordered him to stop in Amhearst Road. Police say he then stopped the car and fled on foot, before he was apprehended by police.

After his arrest police searched two properties in Hastings and St Leonards finding cannabis plants at one, Sussex Police say.
