St Leonards salon owner wins Big Brother

The 45-year-old, who owns The Green Room in Sedlescombe Road North, another salon in Eastbourne, and also works as a body double in films, claimed the grand prize of £90,000 after 50 days in the house.

Jason, originally from Seaford, told the presenter of the Channel Five show Emma Willis he was completely over-awed at his win and admitted he never thought he’d make it to the final.

He said, “I didn’t think I would be here from day one.

“I’m not a man of many words, but I just can’t explain the feeling of winning.”

Jason said he had been pushed to the edge after one of his ex-girlfriends was also a contestant in the Big Brother House.

He also said that losing control over his life during his time in the house had been the most difficult aspect.

“We’re playing a game that no-one knows is going to happen in the next five minutes,” he said.

“On the outside you have control of your own life, you have no control and that’s the frustrating bit.”

Jason hopes to make acting his day job,

He has already worked alongside Danniella Westbrook in one movie – Essex Vendetta – playing the part of Vincent’s henchman. He was also cast as Dave Bautista’s body double in Spectre and Guardians of the Galaxy.

After he walked out of the Big Brother House as the winner, Jason told national newspapers the property was a mix between the ‘Rocky Horror Show and a circus on steroids’.

He also said his moods, which observers said swayed from being on the verge of depression to fits of rage, were because he was not used to sharing living space with others.

He said, “I’ve lived on my own for 29 years and however lovely Cleo my pet dog is as a shih tzu, she’s not the best conversationalist. I’m an only child and I’m quite happy to sit back and watch the show, as much as I’m happy to be in it.

“I might look moody or depressed – I call it sultry – but when I look like that, all I’m doing is taking myself out of the situation and just thinking about things. It’s 24-7 in there, people constantly trying to get camera time – that’s not me. Just because I’m not smiling doesn’t mean that I’m not happy inside. I cry when I’m sad, I laugh when I’m happy and anything in between you’ve seen it. I can assure you I definitely don’t have any anger issues.”
