St Mary Magdalene's Primary school Christmas Fair

ON Friday 12 December the St Mary Magdalene's Primary school held its Christmas Fair which was run by the school's Parent & Teacher Association.

Although he was extremely busy, even Father Christmas managed to put in an appearance at the school & got a chance to do some last minute checks to make sure he knows exactly what the children want for Christmas and to chat with the teachers to see if all the pupils had been behaving themselves at school as well as at home.

The big new attraction to the School's Xmas Fair this year was a chocolate fountain which went down a storm with the children.

The PTA's Xmas Raffle was a great sucess and thanks to the generosity of local businesses, who kindly donated prizes, it raised over 200.

Kerry Cowles, the Treasurer of the PTA said that "the Xmas Fair had been a huge success....it not only got the school's community feeling Christmassy with the pupils singing Carols and Father Christmas coming to see us, but it also raised nearly 600 for the school".
