St Michael goes fairtrade

THE cafe at the Marks and Spencer store at the Holmbush shopping centre is now only serving Fairtrade tea and coffee.

Company chief executive Stuart Rose said: "Our customers have told us they not only want products which taste great, but also ensure the farmers get a fair price for their crops.

"Our Cafe Revive chain is the third largest in the UK and it's estimated that consumption of Fairtrade tea and coffee will increase significantly as a result of our move.

"We're delighted that we can now offer our customers even more Fairtrade options, which is great news for both our customers and our producers."
