St Richards college sports victory

Young athletes from St. Richard's Catholic College produced some outstanding performances in the Hastings and District Schools Athletics Championships.

The competition was held at William Parker Sports College track .

The College won the Spar Cup which is awarded to the school with the highest overall points total.

This was the third consecutive year in which St. Richard's have won the cup.

The St. Richard's pupils competed against eleven other secondary schools in the competition which is held for pupils from year 7 to year 10. In addition to the Spar Cup, the college returned with over 40 pupils' individual medals.

The year 7 and year10 boys finished second overall in their separate competitions and the year 9 girls repeated the feat.
