St Wilfrid's charity auction

BIDDING is now open on a range of items to raise money for St Wilfrid's Hospice.

Bids can be placed until the hospice’s Silver Ball at Goodwood House, on Saturday, November 17, organised to mark the hospice’s 25th anniversary.

During the evening, there will be an auction led by patron Mark Hewitt, of Stride & Son auctioneers.

Among the lots is a unique bracelet made by Chichester jeweller, Timothy Roe.

The bracelet has five separate panels, each featuring scenes of Goodwood racecourse, including a view of the Trundle.

Made from nine carat yellow gold and sterling silver and set with diamonds and an opal, the bracelet has a retail price of at least £8,000.

Other exclusive lots include work experience with Hemingway Design, a luxury holiday courtesy of Chichester-based Scott Dunn, a tour of the Hollyoaks television set, lead by Danny Mac, and a hand-crafted yew and burr maple cabinet designed by Paul Phillips.

At the ball, guests will enjoy a Champagne reception, three-course dinner and entertainment.

The organising committee hopes the ball and auction will raise at least £50,000 for the hospice.

Tickets to the ball have sold out but anyone can bid on the lots online.

Anyone who would like to view the lots can visit www.stwhball.org.uk and then call Sabine on 01243 576121.
