Stabbed Bognor man's inquest delayed until after court case is finished

The inquest of a Bognor Regis man who was allegedly murdered by his father has had to be adjourned until court proceedings have finished.

Lee Floyd, 36, died on August 29 after being fatally stabbed at his Rose Green home.

His inquest was opened in Chichester on September 30 but West Sussex coroner Penelope Schofield had to adjourn the hearing because of the imminent court case against Lee's father, Robert Floyd.

During the inquest, post-mortem examination results were read out which stated Lee's cause of death as haemorrhage and a stab wound to the abdomen.

Mr Floyd, 64, is charged with murdering his son at the terraced chalet bungalow in Elbridge Crescent, which was shared by Lee, his father and his grandparents.

Mr Floyd is currently remanded in custody and will appear before Lewes Crown Court on November 19, for a plea and case management hearing.
