Staff at The Dolphin raise £19,021 for heart charity
Freedom Leisure staff at the Dolphin Leisure Centre in Haywards Heath have raised £19,021 for the British Heart Foundation in the last year through a series of sponsored events and collections.
Centre manager, Andy Jones, said: “We are delighted to continue to support the valuable work of the British Heart Foundation as the Freedom Leisure charity of choice this year.”
Andy handed a cheque to Katherine Maynard from the British Heart Foundation alongside the charity’s mascot, ‘Hearty’, and Freedom Leisure’s mascot Jim Trainer.
Jim said: “Our members visit The Dolphin to support their own health and fitness so it seems appropriate for us to raise money for others who are not fit and well at this time.”
