Staplecross

PUBLIC INFORMATION NOTICE- From EWHURST PARISH COUNCIL: Many residents may be aware that plans have been put into place to re-vitalise and up-grade the existing play equipment at the playing fields, along Northiam Road, in Staplecross. Ewhurst Parish Council are very happy to announce that these additional pieces of equipment will begin to be installed the week commencing MONDAY JUNE 29th. 2015 and the workings for this will take approximately five (5) days. They would also like everyone to be aware that access is likely to be restricted during that week and that any users of this playing field take extra care, especially if accompanied by wee ones, as machinery and equipment, as well as the work force that will be using them, will be sited in this field, and of course, the actual play area. The installation of these new items of play, comes at just the right time, to be all up and running, in time for the school summer vacation and the lovely, long summer evenings ahead of us. So please, bear with us, if the field area - and in particular the existing play park - is rather restricted for a short time, the end result is sure to make the wait worthwhile.

STAPLECROSS VILLAGE HALL: Hilary Ganly - Chairman of the Staplecross Village Hall and her committee, would like to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to Will and his staff from Ed’s Nursery, Staplecross, for generously donating the gorgeous hanging baskets of petunias that now adorn the porch entrance walls of our local village hall. This was a very kind gesture to the parish community, and will be much appreciated by all of the parish residents.

You don’t even have to live within our parish to become a member, as we have several diners who travel from outside of our community, to dine with us each month. There is no entrance fee and every meal is different from the previous and so delicious, you’d wish the group met weekly and not monthly !
