Despite the awful weather, spring must be on its way and in preparation Staplecross village hall committee is offering the chance for us all to sort out all those items for which we have no need and donate them to the first jumble sale of the year. Saturday March 2 is the date in the village hall at 2pm. There promises to be great bargains and anyone either with items to donate or offers to help will be most welcome. Donations may be dropped off on the morning of the sale, or collected by ringing 01580-830704 or 830570.

Drivers who have bumped their way through the pot holes through to Horns Cross in recent weeks will be relieved to know that repairs are to be carried out on the B2165 between Adams Lane and Goatley Farm due to start on February 18 and expected to last 5 days.
