Star and stripes forever to mark US Independence Day

The Miller Men got everyone in the mood with an opening performance of jazz before the staff performed Greased Lightning from the musical Grease.

Cheerleaders from the Southern Starlights added some razzle dazzle to the occasion. The USA-themed event raised just over 400 to go towards the residents' fund.

Home manager Sarah Boote-Cook said: "It was a fun day and the sun shone throughout. I wanted to hold a raucous and busy event to help to change the image of care homes.
