The 25 mile Coastal Culture Trail connects three award winning galleries; Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, and the Jerwood Gallery, Hastings.

The trail, which covers a variety of terrain from pebbles to rolling countryside, is traffic free with the exception of a small residential road in the village of Beachlands. It can also be travelled by cycle or train.

Sally Ann Lycett Director of External Relations at the DLWP said it was a great day out that resulted in raising over £1000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. “The DLWP is a dementia-friendly place and part of the Coastal Culture Trail, “ she said.

“A group of us decided to walk the Trail and raise money for this fantastic charity that does so much for people living with the dementia.

“We walked 17 miles in six and a half hours and were lucky enough to have perfect autumn weather.
