Still time to enter Seaford Young Mayor’s Awards

THERE is still a chance to enter the Seaford Young Mayor’s Awards - but hurry entries must be received by Wednesday February 29.

Young mayor Maddie Jay and deputy Amy Gough will host the awards on Wednesday March 21 at Seaford Baptist Church. The awards are open to anyone born on or after March 21, 1994 and living in the BN25 postcode.

Categories include young performer, young carer, youth group, young volunteer, bravery and sports, adults who support youth in Seaford and one outstanding young person will be selected for the Young Mayor’s Award.

The awards have been sponsored by the Keith Baker Charitable Trust. Nomination forms from the Tourist Information Office at 37 Church Street or from local schools.

A Young Performer Talent Show will be at the Mercread Youth Centre, Mercread Road, Seaford on Wednesday March 14. To nominate someone under 16, obtain permission from their parent or guardian. Nominees may have their stories and photos published in the media.
