Stone slabs stolen from Cowdray Causeway

A number of stone slabs have been stolen from the centre of Cowdray Causeway.

The Cowdray Estate said the theft happened between the evening of Thursday, September 3, and the early hours of Friday, September 4.

“Cowdray can confirm that a number of stone slabs were removed by thieves either late on Thursday or in the early hours of Friday from the centre of the causeway,” said a spokesman.

“They gained access by cutting the locks at the Ruins end of the causeway and must have removed them using large machinery.”
