Storrington campaigner urges residents to write to council on application for 102 homes

A Storrington anti-housing campaigner has urged villagers to comment to the council on an application for 102 new homes.

Submitted by Wates Developments last month on land north of Melton Drive, Howard Brunt, of Stop Storrington Sprawl, said: “We have distributed 2,500 flyers to inform people, we now wish to encourage as many as possible to write to HDC planning before the end of the formal window for comment on this development (23rd May).

“We have a website survey and several parallel petitions taking place concurrently.

“We have lobbied our MP, county, district and parish councillors and continue to do so.”

Residents have until Thursday May 23 to comment. Stop Storrington Sprawl have a link to the comment facility on the planning portal on their website.
