Storrington First School closed after power cut

In a message sent out by the school they said: “Due to a power cut and no heating the school will be closing at 11am unless you are able to collect earlier.”

Storrington Primary School said it did not know how long the power would be out for and is advising parents to make other arrangements for their children.

The school has apologised for the inconvenience and asked parents to pick up their children as soon as possible.

People in Storrington have been left without any electricity after a power cut in the area this morning.

In a statement on the UK Power Networks website the organisation said: “With more than 170,000km of electricity cables to maintain, power outages will sometimes happen. We promise to restore power as soon as we can.”
