Strike action closes schools
Strike action will close two schools.
Priory School, Lewes, and St Margaret's, Ditchling, will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday because teaching assistants and auxiliary staff will be taking part in the action.
The strike includes local government workers who are members of UNISON, including care assistants, refuse collectors, cleaners, teaching assistants and social workers.
The row is over a pay rise of 2.45 per cent.
They say with inflation this amounts to a pay cut.
