Strong warning from Bexhill High

THE principal of Bexhill High School has issued a strong warning to all pupils about internet use.

It comes after last week’s front page of the Bexhill Observer where pupils from Bexhill High and Hillcrest had allegedly used the social networking site Facebook to organise a fight between the two schools.

Mike Conn said: “Let me make it absolutely clear. This school has no control over how our pupils make use of these sites. That is a matter for them and their families and carers.

“However, Bexhill High will deal very severely with any actions arising from these sites.

“Pupils pre-arranging a fight with those from another school is unacceptable and this will not be tolerated.

“I have been into assemblies this week and warned the young people at Bexhill High about the possible outcomes of such behaviour.

“We would act very tough if we had evidence on any individual who wants to go down this path.

“That would mean permanent exclusion, make no mistake about that.”
