The hundreds who watched A Night from the Musicals were entertained with a medley of songs, dances and scenes from a variety of shows.

The 15-strong cast comprised Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils aged between 12 to 14. They put on a professional performance which they thoroughly enjoyed along with the cast.

Nicola Coney, the college’s curriculum leader for drama, said: “We do our major school production in the summer term which involves all year groups. This was a chance for our younger students to showcase their talents and further their production skills.

“We hope many of the students involved will choose to take music and drama further.

“They gave a brilliant performance and we are all thoroughly proud of them.”

The school music and drama departments turned their attentions after last Wednesday’s show to the end of term carol concert at St Mary’s Church last night.

There were carols, readings and songs from the college choir and joint songs with Downview School.
