Students in the pink at Felpham school

Staff and students from a Felpham school were in the pink to help charity.

Felpham Community College took part in the national Wear It Pink campaign in aid of the Breast Cancer Campaign.

In return for a donation to the charity, the students replaced their school uniform with their own clothes, the only rule was they had to include something pink.

Teaching staff also joined in the fun and some of the sixth form students entered into the spirit of the day by wearing fancy dress.

The school was transformed into a pink mist with a variety of weird and wonderful costumes including some pink wigs.

The day was a great success with a lot of hilarity and everyone making a fantastic effort.

The event, which took place last Friday, is the first of three charity challenges being undertaken at the school.

The school hopes to have raised more than £1,000 for the cause but exact figures have not yet been confirmed.
