STUDENTS SET HIGH STANDARDS

THE South of England Agricultural Society's annual Student Project Awards drew high praise from eminent competition judge Dr Len Norman.

Dr Norman said the standard was extremely high and compared favourably to university levels.

He said: 'I congratulate all the students on a tremendous effort. They produced far more than just a report. The research into the topics was evident and many of the students had collated information into a questionnaire, which was most impressive.'

The topics included feeding diets for Siberian sturgeon, pain control in calves, bat protection, fertiliser recommendation and bird habits in domestic gardens.
