Students show off work at Young Enterprise Arun and Chichester awards

STUDENTS showed off their entrepreneurial skills at the Young Enterprise Arun and Chichester area awards.

Budding Richard Bransons from Seaford College, Petworth, scooped the top award for best company, beating off competition from seven other schools.

Their company, called Catalyst, sold Christmas cards based on a range of designs by art students. The students also hosted a spring trade fair, which was promoted to local entrepreneurs and local communities and they have been selling a range of products including beaded crafts made by a tribe in Kenya.

Students from St Philip Howard School, Barnham, were named runners-up for their company called Prism.

Catalyst will go through to the next round, the county finals of the young enterprise competition, which takes place later this month.
