Stylish prom marks end of exams

The 2016 Prom for Millais and Forest Schools took place on Friday July 1 at Copthorne Effingham Park. It was a wonderful evening where the class of 2016 celebrated the end of their exams in style. The weather remained dry, much to the delight of the large crowd of who gathered to enjoy the arrival of the year group.

Over 440 year 11 students and 67 staff enjoyed an evening of memories and great celebration. The young ladies looked wonderful in an array of stunning gowns. The young men looked equally splendid, booted and suited to perfection. Modes of transport to get to the prom ranged from antique to modern-day, including limousines, top of the range cars, a tractor, party bus, a hand drawn chariot and a police car.

The photographer set to work early and students left with beautiful photos to remind them of their evening. Once all the photographs were underway, Effingham Park served an excellent buffet whilst the students were entertained with a disco and more photographs! The atmosphere was uplifting as they celebrated the end of their exams and looked forward to the next stage of their education.

We are all really sad to see them go, but we know they have made friendships at this school which will last them a lifetime. All the staff and governors at both schools wish them the very best for their exam results in August and for a bright future going forwards.
