Successful Mission brings in £400 in 90 minutes
A COFFEE morning featuring a range of fund-raising stalls proved a big success for the local committee of the London City Mission, an inter-denominational organisation providing chaplains to businesses and emergency services in the capital.
Held at Beulah Baptist Church in Clifford Road on Saturday, the event raised more than £400 in just 90 minutes. Secretary Sheila Prosser said: “The support we received was overwhelming and deeply appreciated.
“This is an annual fund-raising event for us and the room was jam-packed throughout. It was lovely to see so many people coming along and being so generous. Heartfelt thanks are also due to all who contributed their time and efforts to making the morning such a success.”
